안녕하세요, 현재 I-20 Request관해서 상담할게 있어서 글을 남기게 되었습니다. 

일단, 현재 저의 상황은 

제작년에 2016년 가을학기 편입신청을 했다가 원하는 학교가 다 떨어지는 바람에 

컬리지 공부를 끝마치고, 2016년 6월에 한국에 돌아와서 현재까지 계속 지내면서 

올해 한국에서 다시 2017년 가을학기 편입을 지원 했고 원하는 학교에는 입학을 하게되었습니다. 

문제는 ucla측에 I-20를 요청하면서부터 인데요.. 

보통 유학생분들이 입학할 새로운 학교에 I-20를 신청할때 

SEVIS-Transfer In을 전에 다녔던 커뮤니티컬리지에 요청을 하잖아요,

그런데 저같은 경우는 한국에 돌아온 시점부터 SEVIS넘버가 terminate가 되어서

전에 다녔던 컬리지 카운슬러가 저는 요청하지 않아도 된다고해서

해당항목에 No라고 체크를 했거든요

그랬더니 LA측에서 메일이 하나 날라왔습니다. 

DCISS has received your initial UCLA I-20 Request. Your request is currently incomplete due to the following reason:

Our records show that you have a U.S. address listed in your Student Records. Before DCISS can process your request, we must verify your legal presence in the U.S.

What is your current visa status in the U.S.? Do you currently hold F-1 status and have an active I-20 from another U.S. school? If Yes, you will be considered a SEVIS Transfer-In student. 

You will need to request your current school to transfer your SEVIS Record to UCLA. Your current school will need to complete the DCISS SEVIS Transfer-In Form and return the form to you. You will then need to upload the SEVIS Transfer-In Form to your I-20 Request Portal to complete your I-20 Request. After your SEVIS Release Date, DCISS can then issue you a SEVIS Transfer-In I-20. 

Please follow the steps below to complete your I-20 Request:

STEP 1: Return to your UCLA I-20 Request Portal and Go to STEP 1 - Mark "YES" to the Question in STEP 1 
A SEVIS Transfer Information Drop-Down will appear - Complete the transfer information

STEP 2: Review your UCLA I-20 Request Portal - Go to STEP 4 and upload your SEVIS Transfer-In Form

STEP 3: Go to STEP 5, write a comment in the COMMENT BOX: “SEVIS Transfer-In” – Then review and re-submit your request. 



If your current visa status is NOT F-1:

Please reply to this message and explain your situation. What is your current visa status? Are you currently living in the U.S.?

Your request will be placed on HOLD at this time. DCISS will re-start the processing of your request after further information has been gathered from you.

한국에 돌아온것에 대해서 답변을 했습니다. 

문제는 한달이 지났는데도 계속 I-20가 Incomplete로 되어있는 상황인데요,

혹시 어드미션 합격에 안좋은 영향이 미치는건 아닐지 걱정이 됩니다..

혹시 저같은 상황을 겪어보신 분들은 어떻게 해결하셨는지도 궁금합니다..ㅠ.ㅠ 

LA측에 다시 메일을보내야 할까요..?

아니면 직접 전화를 해야할까요..? 

제가 작년에 어플리케이션을 지원했을때 (한국에서)

current visa status를 F-1비자라고 선택했었는데.. 혹시 그런게 문제가 되는건 아닐까

별의별 걱정이 다듭니다..ㅠㅠ

바로 밑에 상담글을 하나더 올렸었는데, 다행히 Junior trnasfer로 신청하는건 맞다고 말씀하셨는데,

이것저것 전부 걱정이 되어서 상담글 올리게 되었습니다..ㅠㅠ
