To support your studies, we offer you financial support that totals over $100,000 per year, in the following categories: • A tuition scholarship, covering full tuition for three terms per year. In 2022-23, this amounts to a scholarship estimated at $68.700. A stipend in the amount of $33,546. This will be paid in 12 monthly installments on the last business day of each month, starting in September. A health insurance subsidy that covers 100% of the cost of Emory's student health insurance. In 2021-22, this amount is $4,018.
Drawing on a combination of grant, project and institutional funds, and as long as you are making good academic progress, your stipend and health insurance award may be renewed until you complete your degree. Subject to the same conditions, your tuition scholarship may be renewed for a total of seven full years of funding. Students who enroll in an eighth year or beyond are responsible for some tuition.
In addition to the financial support detailed above, you will receive a half-month stipend payment on August 31. This amount is in addition to your full stipend that begins in September. To receive your August payment, a timely and valid Form I-9 is required, and we will provide instructions for submitting this form.
You will be responsible for student fees. In 2022-23, the standard fees are estimated at $442 in fall and spring, and $253 in summer. All new degree-seeking students will need to pay a one-time transcript fee, after which transcripts are free. In 2022-23, this fee is estimated at $70. |
